Splitting up is never easy but it is always harder for those who are left behind. When someone tells you that they no longer want to be with you it is heart breaking.
If you have behaved badly – then you have no one else to blame but yourself. This is why they call it taking a risk – you might lose. If that is the case, learn from your loss and make sure you do better next time.
The problem is that sometimes partners leave you when you have done nothing wrong. You may still be madly in love with them but for some reason they no longer feel the same way. This can be the most confusing and hard to take.
When you are told those great lines: It’s not you – it’s me…It really doesn’t help much and will not stop you from questioning yourself. In a way it is far better if they have met someone else, or you have done something unforgivable – at least then it would all make sense.
Very little makes sense when it comes to feelings and emotions. Sometimes people’s feelings change – we just grow apart. It is hard to keep the excitement going – it takes effort. But sometimes, it just fades away regardless and there is nothing you can do to change it.
