If you do a pregnancy test and find out that your test is positive (you are pregnant) then you have 3 main options that you will need to think very carefully about:
1. You could have the baby and bring it up yourself. You will find this much easier if you have support from friends and family and your partner.
2. You could have an abortion. You have the right to free, confidential abortion even if you are under 16.
3. You could continue with the pregnancy and give the baby up for adoption.
Deciding what to do about a pregnancy can be very difficult. Any of the options could affect you for the rest of your life. It is important that you make the choice that is right for you.
You have the right to confidential advice and support however young you are. Contact your local contraceptive and sexual health clinic or BPAS ( British Pregnancy Advisory Service) to access counselling and support.
