We all look in the mirror and wish we were taller/shorter/thinner/had bigger muscles/bigger breasts/smaller breasts/bigger penis/more hairy/less hairy/ can grow a beard/have different hair… etc (delete as appropriate).

No one looks in the mirror and thinks “I’m Perfect!” We all have our wobbly bits or imperfections that we wish we could change. It is ok to want to look your best, or to be the best you can – but remember no one is ever perfect. We all look around at each other and wise we could be a bit more like them…

Yes, exercise (it is good for your mind as much as your body), go to the gym – eat healthily – but take it easy and don’t overdo it. Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. And please, don’t obsess over every single calorie…

It is easy to be fooled by magazines that promise the perfect body on one page and then on the next point out a celebrity’s flaws. Remember that photos are often airbrushed and what you see in the media is rarely completely real.

Put away the celebrity diet and the magazines… they will only make you feel inadequate. Remember the beauty industry exists to make money nothing more and it does it by exploiting our insecurities.

Realise your body is amazing – regardless of what you think about it. It is the coolest, most sophisticated and beautiful piece of kit you will ever own.

Get to know it and make the most of it…
